Welcome to Courtly Tours! My name is Marc.
Courtly Tours was born from more than a decade of living and working in Europe. My journey began when I obtained my PhD in climate science in Zürich, Switzerland, and then conducted research at scientific institutes in different European countries. During this time there were many great challenges I faced from immigrating to these countries. Along the way, I acquired a depth of knowledge including learning about the many aspects of the local culture as well as the history of important destinations. Courtly Tours is then the culmination of leveraging my research and learning skills, knowledge of travel and history first-hand, and the passion to share it with others in a unique and exciting way.
My main mission as a travel advisor is to provide the traveler with a unique experience beyond the typical excursion by incorporating my own personal experiences without imposing any preferences and combining travel that is historically inspired and artistically appealing as well as providing local experiences. Personalized service and special care are taken to ensure you have a well thought out travel plan plus a smooth experience from beginning to end. I also ensure I am readily available during your trip for any assistance.
Vision
The vision of the agency is to bring like-minded travelers together who have a keen interest in history and related subjects and strongly connect with the past by experiencing destinations more deeply with their senses. It will allow the client to not only see and learn about the interested point of interest in a historical context, but to experience it as well to help bring it alive. I specialize in and offer European Tour Packages and unique and interesting Historical Custom Tours as well as special Castle Stays and Weddings and Independent Trips and Itineraries. I will help you design a unique and valued itinerary that is totally centered around your very own travel needs and desires. All of these types of travels can suit well for personal or business trips including educational and corporate retreats or conferences.
Packaged tours are uniquely created for the traveler in mind to offer them a wide variety of interesting activities such as interactions with local experts, museum visits, and foodie and shopping experiences. These packages are designed for classic group tours with a maximum of 40 guests, and small group tours with not more than 24, which allows for more personal attention and time to explore with the local experts. These same tours are also available for private groups of no more than 12 guests if you want to exclusively travel with your friends and family. Exciting cultural activities are also offered that may include a VIP fast-track entry to the Sistine Chapel and Vatican Museum, for example. Highly-rated hotels with excellent style, location, and service are provided for a comfortable stay. You will also travel in style with our luxury-styled coaches containing extra legroom with wifi and air conditioning, air that is constantly filtered, and passionate travel colleagues who will support you throughout your journey. A Travel Director and specially trained Well-Being Director will accompany you for your whole journey to take care of all the details and your safety. Customized unique and historical tours are also offered that are tailored and made for the history buff in mind and come with a requirement of at least 8 people in the group with a maximum limit of 40. Itineraries that specifically involve Medieval Tours & Experiences run by Timequest can host one client up to a maximum of 6. These types of trips give much more depth to the destination that are heavily based on the historical as well as on the artistic, architectural, and archaeological perspective. Local experts in these subjects are offered bringing a wealth of knowledge to the traveler’s journey. Basically, these tours have been specifically designed to allow the traveler to unleash their passion for these subjects and within the context of the myths and legends surrounding them, particularly those that dwell inside the realms of the medieval and Renaissance periods. Our expertise and passion in these time periods and destinations allow our itinerary to make history come alive for the traveler.
